Coosa Volunteer Opportunities
Coosa County Food Drop: Volunteers meet the last Friday of each month at Equality UMC to distribute food to approved DHR recipients.
Coosa County Historical Society: volunteers maintain records, hold events to raise awareness of the historical impact of the community and raise funds.

Coosa Tutoring and Mentoring: Volunteers may have opportunity to conduct individualized tutoring and mentoring.
Coosa Crisis Disaster Relief: Volunteers are needed in times of disaster to assist the county with aid during a crisis situation within the county.
Coosa Companionship and Transportation: Volunteers meet the needs of people by providing services that make their lives more productive, such as providing companionship, making friendly phone calls, providing transportation, sending friendly cards, making friendly visits, They also provide support for their friends and neighbors in times of crisis and illness.
Coosa Veterans and Military Families: volunteers provide benefits assistance in Sylacauga.
Coosa Donations Management: volunteers raise funds for local charities or recruit volunteers.
Peace and Goodwill Food Drop and Homebound Meals: volunteers meet the first Thursday of every month to distribute food and pack meals for homebound citizens.
Sardis Baptist Church: Volunteers perform clerical duties, aid the homebound, and make friendly calls and visits to the sick. They provide support to community members during illness or family crisis. Other opportunities include fellowship activities and lawn/building maintenance. Volunteers plan and host special events for the community.
Weogufka Center: An organization of Weogufka Alumni and friends dedicated to saving and preserving Weogufka High School Buildings and Campus for the purpose of Arts, Entertainment and Education. All officers and staff members are volunteers. There are no paid employees. There are opportunities for volunteers to chair or serve on several committees that plan, advertise, and implement events.
